1. Power on your display device and make sure it is tuned to the input that your HD DVD Player is connected to.
   
   
   
2. Power on your HD DVD Player.
3. On your HD DVD remote control Press "SETUP"
4. Select "General" from the On Screen Menu
5. Select "Maintenance" from the On Screen Menu
6. Select "Update" from the On Screen Menu
7. The software version is displayed underneath the word Update.
